Daily credits reset at midnight Beijing time (UTC+8), are valid only that day, and do not roll over. The one-time new account gift has no expiry date. Credits nearest expiry are used first. In the app, “Current credits” shows today's balance, credits without expiry, other expiring balances, and the next refill time. Refills are issued once per account, type, and date. Spending and retries do not trigger extra refills. Rule changes do not top up a refill already issued that day or reset used or non-expiring credits.
2. Usage and released reservations
User-published topics and labeled AI topics follow the same discovery rules. Platform AI topics are generated in the background without using any user's AI chat credits. Opening a topic does not use an AI chat credit; one is used only when you send a message and successfully receive an AI reply.
AI input is limited to 512 characters per message. Each successfully generated AI reply uses one credit; failures and cancellations release reserved credits. Daily refills are credit grants, not daily spending caps. A reservation released on a later day does not extend the original daily credit's validity. The first successful display and revisiting a discovered topic do not use discovery credits. Actively switching to new content does, while an empty sea does not. Rejected or failed posts release reserved posting credits according to service records.
New user-published topics, including shared AI conversations, can be discovered for 24 hours after submission and are shown after approval. Platform AI topics can be discovered for 24 hours after approval and publication. They then leave new discovery, while existing conversations can continue. Rule changes do not extend existing topics' expiry times.
Personal text and image messages are delivered after approval, with no fixed wait before first contact. Network or service processing may cause delays. Original voice messages between mutual follows use private delivery rules. Sending limits apply when there is no reply. Neither free nor paid use bypasses safety rules.
3. Free long-term memory
After consent to AI conversation processing, only the everyday companion chat in “Youhua” automatically organizes and uses long-term memory. There is currently no separate memory switch. View, edit, or delete entries in “Memories.” After the first 40 successful turns and every 20 additional turns, Youhua uses relevant AI conversation text to organize memories for later replies. Withdraw AI consent in Me → Settings to stop new AI chats and memory processing. Not every conversation produces a memory. See the Privacy Policy for the data involved.
4. When credits run out and future changes
Wait for the next daily refill or optionally buy an AI chat pack or Plus through Apple. Chat packs contain 30, 100, or 300 credits with no expiry. Plus renews monthly and provides 200 AI chat credits per subscription cycle; unused cycle credits expire at its end. While membership is active, you also receive 30 extra discoveries and 20 extra posts daily, plus member themes and stationery. Prices are shown on Apple's purchase confirmation screen.
Restore subscription purchases in “Current credits,” cancel renewal in Apple subscription management, and request refunds through Report a Problem. Deleting your Youhua account does not automatically cancel a subscription. See the purchase terms. Do not transfer money to anyone offering to top up your account.
Free credits can only be used in Youhua and cannot be exchanged for cash, traded, or transferred. We may change rules for operating costs or safety and will communicate material changes. Free use will not automatically become a paid subscription, and previous free use will not be billed later.
AI topics open separate chats, continued in “Inbox” after your first message. The same topic reuses the same chat. Topics keep separate contexts and do not read or generate long-term memory; everyday companion chat stays in “Youhua.” You can choose to bring an AI topic or personal chat to Youhua, selecting up to 20 turns and adding your thoughts. An AI topic turn is one question and reply; personal chats are grouped by adjacent exchanges between participants. Previewing only reads records. Selecting “Include and continue chatting” sends only selected text to AI and uses one chat credit. The original AI topic text may also be included. Images, voice messages, unselected history, and automatically generated earlier summaries are excluded.
